Sting Ray

Project Type: Residential

Location: Jacksonville, Oregon

Project Size:  3,315 SQ FT

Located within a secluded four-parcel luxury development connected to the Jacksonville Woodlands trail system, the home’s CCNRs promote modern organic design. Each residence integrates seamlessly into its environment while maximizing views, accessibility, and outdoor living.

Stingray was designed in response to the site and the owners’ desire to host large gatherings. A 360-degree wraparound driveway allows guests to arrive at the rear and enter through the main foyer. The layout features a pre-lobby that separates the primary suite and a mirrored guest suite before transitioning through a compressed entry into an expansive great room with an 18-foot ridge vault and panoramic mountain views.

Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL) was selected as the primary structural system for its superior strength. Rather than concealing it, the stained and finished LVLs were intentionally exposed to enhance the home’s organic aesthetic.
